During our traineeship program you will learn:
4-12 week program
At the beginning of the program, fellows will be supported in to settle down into their new environment (find appropriate accommodation, locate amenities, etc.). In the hospital, a desk space will be allocated and facilities for personal welfare (access to dining room, medical gown) will be provided by our institution.
Additionally, a group meeting will take place at the beginning in order to have an initial meeting with other fellows. Posteriorly, a weekly meeting will be programmed to discus about the fellow´s progress during the traineeship.
The fellow will be fully trained to all activities of the group and will be able to attend to the specialized outpatient clinic. As well, the fellow will have access to different units such as clinical laboratory, lung function test and other outpatient clinics if the fellow wants. The fellow will also be engaged in clinical research and writing scientific articles.
The fellow will have the opportunity to partake in other group meetings and activities of another pneumology units within our hospital: Occupational respiratory diseases, lung transplantation, chronic respiratory infections (Cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis).
Towards the end of the training I will have a meeting with the fellow to discuss plans to publish their clinical work (if enough data collected) or disseminate their findings in a future conference.
All throughout the training, any peculiar challenges or specific requests of a fellow will be fully considered, in order to ensure that a responsive, relevant and adequate training plan is developed for them.
