4-12 weeks curriculum

After the initial meeting to understand the objectives of the visiting program, the trainee will go through a formal induction process (safety, laboratory practices, personal welfare). The fellow will be asked to submit immigration documents, travel, health, and liability insurance for review.

The fellows will be fully appraised of all activities of the Department and will interact and closely work with the group members. Depending on their interest and the duration of their stay, they will be encouraged to contribute to the research activity, including manuscript drafting and submission of contributions to scientific congresses.

The fellow will be allowed to attend group meetings and other academic activities within the School and the University, including workshops, conferences, e.t.c. They will also be encouraged to give an oral presentation of their work at a group meeting at least once before completing their visit.

Towards the end of the training, I will meet with the fellow to discuss plans to publish their work (if enough data is collected) or disseminate their findings at a future conference.

Throughout the training, any particular challenges or requests of a fellow will be fully considered to ensure a responsive, relevant, and adequate training plan is developed for them.

Accommodation and Transportation

Flats can be easily found using online services:

e.g., https://www.idealista.com/alquiler-viviendas/barcelona/horta-guinardo/la-vall-d-hebron-la-clota/

Any place close to Line 3 and Line 5 of the metro would be recommended.

The Hospital is easily accessed with public transportation.

There are a bus station and a tube station close to the Hospital (Vall d’Hebron Station, Line 3 and Line 5).

Monthly ticket can be purchased at limited costs at any tube station.
